Until recently I didn’t know anything about the Bow Street Runners, but thanks to BBC 4 I now know more about it than I’d ever hoped.

If you have some time to spare, play along and see if you can solve crimes like the real Bow Street Runners. This crime/puzzle solving game features authentic costumes, sets and even real handwriting from the Georgian days. It’s not too hard — even I can figure out most of the puzzles — although anything involving moving the orb around is frustrating. I’ve managed to kill a couple of folks while manipulating the mouse.

I hope we get the TV program in the states. It sounds like fun.
