This has no date but is written on a mimeographed worksheet which discusses the poem, Against Idleness and Mischief by Isaac Watts.
Apparently, we were to create a poem like it making substitutions for some of the words (bolded) in the original poem.
How doth the little busy bee
Improve each shining hour,
And gather honey all the day
From every opening flower! How skilfully she builds her cell!
How neat she spreads the wax!
And labors hard to store it well
With the sweet food she makes.
I only wrote one stanza and did not quite follow the directions…
How doth the little termite
Improve his appetite,
By eating wood and nothing else
Oh, that fussy termite!
