The Wife by Meg Wolitzer

Definitely read this because of the movie that got stellar reviews on the Washington Post — at least Glenn Close’s performance did.

Book was very good movie was okay. Glenn Close’s performance was not Academy Award worthy though, in my opinion — which is what the Post article was all about.

Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

I may have decided to read this because of the HBO series or maybe because Amazon kept suggesting I read it because I liked Gone Girl. Whatever. I read it. It was fun and disturbing. HBO did a good job except at the end where they fucked it up and revealed the twist during the credits.

The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly

January 5, 2019Readingreading challenge 2018Dona

Good golly this book took me a long time to read — well, listen, actually since it was an audio book. I liked the idea — kid gets sucked into a different world where he meets scores of characters from fairytales.

Reading might have been better than listening, and reading it years ago might have been better than reading it at my age.

Not a bad book, just not my cup of tea these days.
