93. Tacos anyone?

Way back when my brother was still married to his first wife and before either of us had children, I attended what was probably a great concert at Popular Creek Arena outside Chicago. He was a huge Georgia Satellites fan at the time, and the Georgia Satellites was opening up for Tom Petty.

I knew the band that warmed up for the Georgia Satellites made me think to want to eat a Tex-Mex meal. For twenty years I’ve thought it was either Los Lobos or the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Wrong.

It was the Del Fuegos. Huh. Whadaya know.

91. He used to sing this song to his liver?

Fun show last night. Dave Wakeling is one cheerful fellow! The Birchmere was packed – busier than I’ve ever seen it. Most people were at least swaying – if not outright dancing.

It kind of looked like this, but the crowd was younger and there were more people (this one cracks me up though:

Here they are singing it. It sounds like Dave is saying “I used to sing this song to my liver.” (he said the same thing at the concert) Perhaps he did say that – he made quite a few references to drinking and he didn’t drink anything but water. Maybe he gave it up to save his liver.
